Erich Chen was born in Texas, but now lives in Los Angeles where he specializes in weddings and portraits. Lately he’s grown very fond of seafood such as lobster and crab. He’s been known to clean plates and plates of food effortlessly. Some of his favorite appetizers are crab cakes, lobster nachos, lobster hand rolls. Generally, good food makes him pretty happy, and great food makes him ecstatic. He loves taking photos of food that he eats and he’ll put as much of the photos on facebook when gets the chance.
His photographic philosophy he believes that there is beauty everywhere, you just have to know where to look and how to find it. You can’t just ‘look’ you have to ‘see’ and if you see things the right way you’ll find so many amazing things. “I like to use natural light as much as possible, because I don’t think artificial light looks as good no matter how many strobes you have, and what kind of light diffusion.” If you check out his youtube video’s you’ll see that he’ll uses all natural light in all sorts of different ways.
