Hello!! Thanks for writing us at Photosodes for some advice. It's a great career to get into and I wish you the best of luck.

To start shopping around for prices, you'll notice that both Canon and Nikon have similar prices on cameras and lenses. We prefer Canon, but that is what we started with and have stuck with since. We have many friends who are Nikon and do very well with them.

As far as lenses, there are a lot of great lenses out there for sale, I would suggest for you to possibly buy used. This will save you some money as there are lots of photographers upgrading out there.

Now your pricing will have to increase a little as just a single prime lens might cost you around $1000 by itself. There are a few good, fast lenses though for cheaper prices. Check out the 85mm f1.8 lenses. Also the Canon 50mm Macro f2.5. These will save you some money and get you started with portraits and food.

Now onto the bigger cost, cameras are all over the place these days, starting at $600-$6800. The standard for most professionals these days is the Canon 5D or 7D. Those range from $1400-2500. If you want to go lower, you can get a 60D for around $600. I'd start there if you're slowly getting into it.

Good luck and thanks for watching!

Hey There Photosodes,
This question may be a little off-topic, Hiya! I want to become a portrait and celebration photographer. I have first class photographs in my head and want to make them true. I want a SLR digital camera for tremendously amateur photographer, that will be appropriate for theatrical ( exceptionally vibrant and colorful), staged shots and vivid food photographs. Also I want a photographic camera that will perform with alot of lenses. As I am preparing to pay for those.
Anyhow, I am just on line searching for final weeks. And I am shopping around canon and nikon. Since they are fundamental manufactures and will get the job done with a good deal of lenses.
I just will need an suggestions. I have a extraordinary eye and creative side. I want my shots be everything but unexciting and typical. And I know that manufacturer and expense of a digital camera is just thirty% of prosperity. But I want a little something to start out with ( i hardly ever had an practical knowledge with SLR prior to, but so shopping ahead to it)
Amount I am wanting for is $700- $a thousand. in prime case circumstance, this charge will also feature more set of lenses, if not its still awesome!!!
Thank you all for assist!

Desire me luck!
Keep up the good work
